The New York Mets have upset the Los Angeles Dodgers and turned the series around.

The Mets defeated the Dodgers, 7-3, in Game 2 of the best-of-seven National League Championship Series (NLCS) of the 2024 MLB postseason at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California, on Friday.

After dropping the first game of the series with an 0-9 loss in Game 1 the day before, the Mets bounced back to even the series at 1-1.

The two teams will have a day off before returning to Citi Field on Sunday for Game 3 at the Mets' home field.

Yankees starter Carlos Rodon pitched six strong innings, allowing one run on one home run while striking out nine.

The Yankees took the lead in the third inning when leadoff hitter Juan Soto hit a solo shot to center field. Soto took a sinker from Alex Cobb to lead off the inning.

He then scored on back-to-back wild pitches from reliever Joey Cantillo to make it 3-0 after three walks loaded the bases. Aaron Judge added a run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly to center field.

Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton capped the scoring with a solo home run to left-center field in the seventh inning to make it 4-1.
